  • Senior member Ali Ismatullah won Hutt City Youth Awards’ ‘Overcoming Adversity’ Award 
  • Raedyn (young person from Hutt Valley Activity Centre who has transitioned to become a registered member) wrote up all eight values in the Passport to Success into Te Reo Maori for the Billy Graham Youth Foundation
  • Young person from Epuni class recited ‘Responsibility’ Value to his peers, Epuni staff and Hurricane players who attended the session. The young person also stated why he chose this value and gave an example of someone he looks up to, who displays responsibility
  • The Naenae NPT Policing Team as part of the Blue Light provided the opportunity to three of our young people to go flying for a day at Kapiti Coast Airport at Paraparaumu using the facilities of the Kapiti Districts Aero
  • Three young people, Ali Ismatullah, Latu Talu and Denzel Parker,  competed at the Rivercity Boxing Tournament-two wins
  • Three young people, Noah Palelei, Jahdyn Henare and Ryan McLaughlan won the South Island Novice Championships in Christchurch-three wins

2017

  • Awarded the Vodafone Foundation NZ Extension Partnership Grant for three years enabling the Naenae Youth Charitable Trust to establish a National Advisory Service
  • Held our first National Advisory Service (NAS) Coaching Hui
  • One Member represents NZ in the Olympic Qualifying Games in China
  • Manawatu Champs – 2 Golds, 1 Most Scientific Youth Boxer
  • Wellington & Hutt Valley Champs – 1 Gold
  • NZ National Championships – 2 Golds
  • Billy awarded The Warehouse Community Hero 2016 for the Greater Wellington region
  • Billy selected as Boxing NZ High Performance Coach for the Lower North Island Region
  • One Member becomes Australian Golden Gloves Elite Lightweight Champion
  • One Member becomes NZ Golden Gloves Junior Novice U54kg Champion
  • Two members complete an Outward Bound ‘Mind, Body & Soul’ Course at Anakiwa
  • One Member completes an Outward Bound ‘Recharge’ Course for Alumni at Anakiwa
  • Two of our Probationary Coaches progressed to Level 1 Coaches

  • Billy and half a dozen NBA boys acted in a music video for L.A.B Music called “28 months later”
  • One NBA Member chosen to compete at the Samoa Youth Commonwealth Games to be held in September 2015
  • Royal NZ Police College Recruit Wing 292 visit the NBA in June
  • Wellington & Hutt Valley Champs – 3 Golds, Most Scientific Boxer & Coach
  • Our Head Coach at the Cannons Creek Boxing Academy, Latu Talu is awarded ‘Migrant of the Year 2015’ at a prestigious NZAMI event in Auckland
  • Third successful Black Tie Fundraising Dinner at the Pipitea Marae, Thorndon with 372 people in attendance and special guest speaker Billy Graham, theme – ‘Homegrown’
  • NZ National Championships – 1 Gold & 1 Silver
  • One Member awarded the Hutt City Youth Award – Overcoming Adversity Category

2014

  • One NBA Member selected to be Head Boy for St Bernards College 2014
  • One NBA Member selected to be School Leader for Sacred Heart Petone Intermediate 2014
  • Set up of Cannons Creek Youth Charitable Trust
  • Two coaches & four boys travel to USA to train at US Air Force Academy, Colorado and with martial arts instructors in Cincinnati plus visit Muhammad Ali Centre in Kentucky
  • Kerri Graham awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship Award by the Rotary Club of Hutt City
  • Royal NZ Police College Recruit Wing 283 visit NBA in March        
  • Billy Graham awarded a second Kiwibank Local Heroes award
  • Three of our probationary coaches achieve their Level One Coaching qualification

  • One NBA Member completes Outward Bound “Connect” Leadership Course at Anakiwa

  • Our Coaches came Runner Up in the "Education - Child and Youth Development" category of the "Wellington Airport 2014 Regional Community Awards"
  • New Zealand Boxing Championships - 1 Gold
  • Billy Graham was a finalist for the "Dominion Post Wellingtonian of the Year Awards" under the "Community Service" category
  • David Graham awarded as a Vodafone World of Difference recipient for 2015. Main role to coach the coaches with the intention of replicating our model around New Zealand.

  • “Making Champion Men” is one of nine NZ non-fiction books included in the NZ Rights  Catalogue to be presented at Book Fairs around the world.
  •  Three NBA members complete Blue Light Youth Skills Course at Trentham
  •  North Island Golden Gloves: 2 Gold
  •  Wellington Boxing Champs; 2 Gold
  •  Three NBA members complete Outward Bound courses at Anakiwa
  •  One NBA member completes Rotary RYPEN course
  • ‘Fundamentals’ class successfully piloted for 9-14 year old NBA waitlist boys; to be continued in 2014
  •  One NBA member competes at the AIBA World Junior Boxing Championships in Kiev, Ukraine and Billy Graham attends as one of the New Zealand coaches
  •  40 national youth court and district court judges from throughout NZ attend a Naenae Boxing Academy training session and share dinner with our senior members
